The Foundation For Holiness
Christians have a new ethic that seeks that which is genuinely beneficial for self and others over pleasure, and seeks to serve a new master; Jesus the Lord.
I. We must avoid immorality because it ignores the Headship of Jesus – v. 15a
II. We must avoid immorality because it implants the nature of Jesus with evil – v. 15b
In Isaiah, we are reminded that God sends his people into the world to proclaim the Gospel - this is why at Bartlett Baptist, we commission our mission teams before they go. It is a reminder that by the authority of God, we have been granted the power to go and share the Good News. While some may perceive the Good News as being bad, at the end of the chapter, we are reminded of the hope that some will hear and some will believe.
GROW 365, A JOURNEY THROUGH HIS STORY
One year. One goal. Join us as we partake in a breath-taking journey through His story with hundreds of others in our faith-family, a chronological journey through God’s Word. What if there was a way to read the Bible that naturally uncovered it’s storyline allowing you to see it as one story? Reading the Bible chronologically helps to uncover God’s attributes, character, and ways. Understanding the overarching story of the Bible helps us to see God as He has revealed Himself in His Word enabling us, His children, to live with purpose, passion, and hope as we live out our story within His story for His glory!
