Our Vision
OUR MISSION
Bartlett Baptist Church exists to glorify God and make disciples by
As the body of Christ we exist solely to glorify God and make more and better followers of Him, but how do we do that? Well, it starts with transformation. Our mission is to see generations transformed by the gospel of Jesus from the inside out. Everything we do is to that end.
OUR VALUES
Values are our shared convictions that guide our actions and reveal our strengths. These values are the driving principles behind everything we say and do as a church.
We value the authority of God’s Word over the opinion of tradition, culture, or individuals. 2 Timothy 3:16
We value spiritual birth, growth, and ongoing maturity of all people into the likeness of Jesus, over remaining unchanged. Philippians 3:13-14
We value real, transparent relationships with Jesus and others over superficial interactions. Romans 12:9-13
We value ministry that is missionally purposeful over activity for activity sake. 1 Corinthians 15:58
We value biblically consistent flexibility in our methods and ministries to accomplish God’s mission over attachment to comfort and preference. 1 Corinthians 9:19,22
OUR MEASURES
So what does transformation look like? We look for these growth measures to help us gauge what kind of disciples we’re producing. We desire to see all individuals growing continually in these three areas:
We will intentionally foster our relationship with the Lord. We recognize that salvation is a gift only through the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus. We will commit ourselves to spend time with Him through prayer, studying the Word, and memorizing scripture. We will consistently seek Him. James 4:8
We will remain faithful to the Lord, deny self and fully surrender to His will. Our obedience will be exemplified by displaying transparency and compassion for others. We will strive to emulate the life of Jesus. Philippians 2:4-8
We will live out His purpose for us by sharing the Gospel, serving others and being generous with our time, talent and treasures. All actions will be in an effort to glorify the Lord so that the tasks we demonstrate will be replicated and multiplied for kingdom impact. We have been commissioned. Matthew 28:19-20
OUR STRATEGY
Walking with the Lord is a continual transformation that never ends. At Bartlett Baptist, we welcome those seeking Christ, regardless of your journey’s path. Whether you’ve yet to take the first step or have been a believer for many years, we want to support your scripture based growth. Here’s how:
Worship With Us Weekly
Join us Sunday mornings at 9 or 10:30 AM to be enlightened by the Word of God, sing songs of praise and spend time with Him in prayer. This sacred time of weekly corporate worship is where you can experience God moving in our midst.
Connect in a Small Group
Life change often happens in circles, not rows. Connect Groups are small groups that meet on Sunday mornings at 8, 9 and 10:30 and are tailored for all ages and stages. We become effective disciple makers through Bible study and accountability and in relationship with others.
Serve on a Ministry Team
God has given every believer unique gifts that are to be used to serve others and further the kingdom. We offer lots of opportunities throughout the year to serve the church, our community and our world. In addition, being on a ministry team is one of the great blessings of church membership. How will you say “yes” to serving?
This ongoing cycle helps us to continually strengthen our relationship with Jesus, remain focused on Him, and live transformed lives by the power of the Holy Spirit working in us.
In addition to our “Big 3” strategies we want to help our guests take their next step to church membership by attending our DISCOVER BARTLETT class. We also get EQUIPPED on Wednesday nights during our Mid-Week discipleship hour to LIVE THE MISSION outside our church walls daily.
Psalm 1:1-3
“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the wicked, nor stands in the way of sinners, nor sits in the seat of scoffers; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water that yields its fruit in its season, and its leaf does not wither. In all that he does, he prospers.”
